Protegiendo a los Hijos del Conflicto Creado

(Cooperative Parenting and Divorce: Protecting Your Children from Your Conflict)

This video-based program in Spanish will help parents learn to shield their children from parental conflict while establishing a positive, long-term relationship with the child's other parent. The program is designed for groups of 10 to 16 parents and is divided into 8 sessions. All materials (except the Leader's Guide) are in Spanish. Video is dubbed by professional actors in Mexico.

 

Program kit includes:

• 1 DVD (dubbed in Spanish, approx. 36 min.)
• Leader's Guide (in English)
• Parent's Guide (in Spanish)
• Parent Completion Certificate (in Spanish)
• Supplemental Materials on CD ROM (61 pp.)

 

How the program works:

Facilitated by a trained parent educator, the 8-week program is part video and part group discussion. It is recommended for groups of 10-16 parents. Each session is designed to last 2 hours.

• Educates parents on the impact their conflict has on their children
• Explains children’s issues in divorce
• Teaches parents the practical skills they need to manage anger, increase impulse control, resolve conflict and talk to each other without arguing

Session 8: Cooperation or Conflict: Co-Parenting Is Forever
