The Cooperative Parenting and Divorce is a 8-week, 16 - 20 hour program that is part video and part group discussion.  It is receommended for groups of 10-16 parents.  The group kit is designed for use by therapists, parent educators, churches and schools. It includes a 200 page Cooperative Parenting and Divorce Leader’s Guide that provides detailed instructions on each session, 33 minute companion DVD that provides situations demonstrating both positive and negative behavior, and one Cooperative Parenting and Divorce: Parent Guide that provides vital information and worksheets for parents to do at home.  In addition, the kit includes a disk with course promotional materials for marketing the program and assessment forms. Parents "R" Forever, assists parents through the process of explaining divorce to their young child and the resulting changes that will occur. Parents R Forever is sold in a set. The main text is a parent guide with 80 pages of invaluable information with an accompanying activity book of 40 pages of age appropriate activities to be done with the child. The children’s activities focus on difficult concepts such as "time" and the grief process in ways that will reassure the young non reading child. Question & Answers for Children

Changes is a program for children who have parents going through divorce. The format provides three separate curriculums for age groups 5-8, 9-12 and 13-over. Changes can be completed in either a four hour seminar or offered in one hour classes over a four week period. Changes seeks to provide reassurance while helping children identify and express their feelings in a safe environment. Through interactive activities such as games, role play and projects, the Changes program seeks to provide age appropriate answers to common questions. Sample questions that are answered in the Changes program include:

  • What is a divorce?

  • How will my parents act?
  • Where will I live?
  • What will change and what will remain the same?
  • Can I make my parents back together?
  • Can I love both my parents?
  • Sample teen questions include:
  • How can I keep from being caught in the middle?
  • How will I handle embarrassing moments now that my parents are single?
  • How will my parent’s divorce affect my choices?
  • How much do I want to know or how much do I need to know?
