Susan Boyan and
Ann Marie Termini are co-founders of the
Cooperative Parenting
Institute (CPI). The CPI is an organization whose mission is to promote
the healing and enhancement of family relationships. The focus of the
Institute has been to educate the public,
legal and mental health professionals on the effects of divorce and
time-sharing arrangements on the development of children.
In addition to the Cooperative Parenting and Divorce
Group Program,
the authors have written a book to assist divorcing parents with preschool
children. It is a combination text and parent/child workbook entitled,
Parents R Forever: Everything You Need to Know to Help Your Young Child
Adjust to Divorce. They have also co-authored The
Psychotherapist as Parent Coordinator in High Conflict Divorces: Strategies
and Techniques (2005, Haworth Press).
Widely known for their expertise in the area of divorce and the family, the
published authors consult extensively with therapists, family law
professionals, make radio and television appearances, and provide training
to educators, family law and mental health professionals and parenting
coordinators. Respected in their field, Susan and Ann Marie have conducted
numerous seminars on the national, state and local levels on topics such as
parental alienation and visitation, interviewing children and
developmentally appropriate time-sharing plans.

Susan Boyan, M.Ed.
is a Licensed
Marriage and Family Therapist. She has worked with children and families for
over 23 years, and has been in private practice since 1984. She is the
Director and co-founder of Family Solutions, counseling services for
children, adults, and families in Atlanta, Georgia. Susan has written a book
for play therapists, entitled Show and Tell. In addition she has
co-authored a divorce seminar for children entitled, Changes: Questions
and Answers: A Program for Children of Divorce. Mrs. Boyan presents
and trains nationally on parenting coordination, divorce coaching, child
specialists and collaborative law. She is a clinical member of several
professional organizations and was a former rehabilitation counselor and
special education teacher. She has grown children and practices in Atlanta
with her husband.
Ann Marie Termini, Ed.S., M.S.
is a Licensed
Professional Counselor. She has worked with children and families since
1979. She has experience developing programs that meet the specific needs of
professionals working with children and their families. Mrs. Termini also
published material in professional journals focusing on the therapeutic
needs of children. She was a former officer for the San Antonio Association
for Marriage and Family Therapy and coordinator for special education
services. She has been awarded clinical membership in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and is a member of multiple
organizations including the Association for Conflict Resolution and Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Ann Marie is a member of a Task Force dedicated to advancing Parenting Coordination in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Termini is a consultant for a family court in
Pennsylvania and maintains a private practice. She resides in Clarks Summit,
Pennsylvania with her husband and two lovely daughters.
